Bison Roam East
The Milwaukee Bison have roamed east. The franchise will now be known as the Pittsburgh Bison. Citing market saturation in the Milwaukee metro area the Bison decided it was time to move on. "That (Milwaukee) market was overly saturated...these are highly tuned athletes...we cannot afford to have them get wet!" said an unknown Bison official.
Some insiders have speculated that the move, their third in four years, was made to jolt the Bison's struggling attendance figures. "The Bison finished second in the eastrn conference last season and they were outdrawn by the Wizards. The Wizards!!! said an unnamed league executive.
The Bison move is not the result of a sweetheart deal, however, as the organization has yet to finalize arrangements for sponsors and playing facilities. In addition the franchise will be forced to pay a one time roaming charge for relocating outside of their designated plan area.
While beneficial to the league, time will tell if the move to Pittsburgh will finally help the Bison stampeed to the top.
